Seeing is Believing
Standard Chartered
Microlight Adventure

From London to Sydney by Microlight!

The arrival in Sydney

The arrival in Sydney

Congratulations Miles, Richard and Brian!

On monday 30th April, 55 days after the start of this adventure the Microlight finally landed in Sydney, Australia. It was a spectacular end to a magnificant journey where the team traveled over 13,500 miles, through more than 21 countries and flew for over 250 hours.

Their flight took them over deserts, forests, mountains and seas and they battled with high winds, rain and snow storms in order to reach Sydney. You can read all about these adventures in the blog dairies.

An exhusted but exhilarated Miles at Sydney said he would never have been able to fulfill this dream if it had not been for all the support he had receive along the way. "My highest praise and salute to all you amazing Standard Chartered Bank employees for your wonderful vision and support for the blind people of the world".

The statistics on blindness are staggering. Every 5 seconds someone goes blind. There are 37 million blind people in our world, yet a staggering 75% of blindness is avoidable.

If you would like to support these men in there quest to help the millions of blind people across the world through offering a donation, then please select the "Make a donation" button below. Its simple, fast and totally secure.

You will be issued a receipt for your donation. If you are a UK tax payer then the Seeing is Believing Charity can claim Gift Aid on your donation. To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in UK income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount the charity will claim in the tax year.

Many thanks for your support
