Seeing is Believing

Stuart Horsewood

Stuart is Standard Chartered's branch manager in Kabul, Afghanistan. In the past 12 months Stuart successfully completed the four marathons in the Greatest Race on Earth, part of Standard Chartered's effort to raise enough money to restore sight to 1m people through the Seeing is Believing project. His accumulated time of 18:29:29 for Nairobi, Singapore, Mumbai and Hong Kong was the sixth best. stuart also ran marathons in Dubai, London and the Falkland Islands.

Training was Stuart's biggest challenge - its not exactly the done thing for a westerner to train for a marathon on the streets of the Afgan capital. So how did he train? Well that's easy - he ran a figure of 8 from his dining room to his living room in his house in Kabul.

He was one of only eight runners to complete all four legs of the Greatest Race. Check out http://www.thegreatestrace.com/ for more information.

Stuart raised xxx for Seeing is Believing - what a fantastic achievement!
